Frequently Asked Questions

  • Typically we perform a detailed assessment which includes posture screening, core screening, hip assessment, and pelvic floor assessment (this includes an internal vaginal exam if approved by you!) From there, we design your care plan based on your goals.

  • No, you are not required to have a referral to be able to come see us.

  • Most often our visits run about 1 hour. Within that time frame you are one on one with the therapist working collaboratively towards your goals. Here at Rome Physical Therapy we don’t have a busy gym, waiting to use equipment, or a therapist balancing multiple patients! We value your time!

  • Usually we find that patients see results within 3-5 visits. From there, we decide how to continue to manage your goals and correct the underlying issue for you to have lasting relief.

  • Yes! You can- this is actually what our therapists have specific training in!

  • We typically recommend starting as soon as 2 weeks postpartum.

  • Absolutely! We help you reconnect with your core and work on scar mobility and adhesions.

  • We typically recommend 12 weeks of pregnancy unless there are symptoms. If you are experiencing symptoms, we would encourage you to come in sooner to manage the hormonal changes your body faces.

  • It can! There is minimal research. However, our therapists are training in fertility to help regulate hormones, reduce inflammation and internal tension, and help regulate the nervous system.
